Help Slow

I think I had the same problem as you Rob.
I have a boost gauge and my boost was fluctuating from 9psi to about 5psi. It
would work fine for sometimes a couple of months and then suddenly cut itself
down to 5psi like I hit a switch! I figured it was my factory boost
controller causing it but when I installed a USED one while the problem was
occurring nothing changed!! I believe it was Pete in our group here told me
the part # to replace which turned out to be the PCV Valve. Unfortunately by
the time I got the part the stupid car was already running a full boost again
so I when I changed it I couldn't tell if it solved my problem only time would
tell. So far it's been about 3-4 mths and boost has never dropped off since!!
So I suggest changing the PCV valve first since it's only about $10.00 and
see what happens.

Your solenoid is most likely just not working. Get a manual
controller, it does a better job than the stocker even if it were
working.
