Legacy trouble codes

Could someone with a legacy workshop manual tell me what the
following automatic 4WD tranny trouble codes mean?

12 = Duty solenoid B
22 = Atmospheric sensor
24 = Duty solenoid C

Are these Major problems..Minor problems?

What do the duty solenoids do?

What does the atmospheric sensor do? Where is it located?

Any information will be greatly appreciated
