Gonna take a look at a few EVOs during lunch . . .

Post by boostjunkie »

Wish I had a camera with me, but someone in a dealership down the road says that there are five EVOs in his lot. I think all of them are sold and awaiting pickup . . . just wondering whether one of the owners might be able to give me a test ride . . . or maybe have a friendly "break-in" run with the leg . . .

Just wait for the STI to kill all EVO sales, once the real numbers come out Mitsu is really screwed.

Didn't get to visit the dealership during lunch . . . didn't have a lunch:(

I've heard those EVOs only put out 20 more hp than the wrxs. Not too impressive . . .

To the wheels the HP numbers arent so great, as it turns out the standard wrx has a better dollar to performance rating than the EVO. The STI also has a better dollar to perfromance rating than the EVO. The SRT-4 is also a very good value compared to the EVO

Basically what Im saying is that Mitsubishi really messed up in giving us this watered down version. They might damage the name beyond repair here in the US.

Ciper is right. But be that as it may, the EVO wil be a good car for Mitsubishi. Even if it isn't as mitsubitchin' as it was made out to be  . NO MATCH FOR THE STi. Plain and simple. The new 2.5T was a real kick in the groin for the competition. It was wise for SOA to keep that powerplant a secret until mitsu thought they could sell the much less powerful EVO. He he he.

As long as you're only LOOKING, then okay!

Boost, I'll bet your car will kick any EVO's ass that exists in America right now!

The EVO, even though it has plenty hore HP runs about the same with a standard WRX, kinda sad since it costs $5,000 more...

Yup, it will be no contest when the STi gets here
