This subaru knows how to handle Colorado's snow

Post by Grant »

We have over 2 feet of snow already and it's till coming down. My Legacy is parked about a block from my house where I got stuck and managed to get it next to a curb. My other Subaru, a 79 wagon, is what is pictured here. It rules in the snow. I was driving up and down the road for fun, while my neighbors in their SUVs were getting stuck left and right.

I'm not sure if this will work for the pic but it is at the Yahoo BC-BF Legacy Photos section if someone wants to show me the correct way to post it.

Okay, there I got it working. This morning the snow was up to the black trim line. I had to shovel out the door and gas tank to put some gas in it. I only made it about 10-15 ft before I got stuck though. Better than my neighbor who's stuck in his Toyota Tacoma and can't move at all though. It's still snowing too!

Sorry Grant, but it's still not working. I even tried cutting and pasting the URL to no avail. One of the few things I miss about living in Boulder was getting to drive around in the snow. I can't recall a time it snowed enough to keep me from getting out. Sounds like fun.

Damn, that's a lot of snow. The last time I saw snow like that was in Boulder in 1998. We got something like 36" in 24 hours. Looks like fun :D

There was about 8-12 more inches on the top by the time it stopped snowing. It is the biggest storm in Colorado since 1913 and the biggest in the US this year. The foothills have up to 7 and a half feet and they haven't said anything about in the muntains but I bet it's over 10 feet. We have a total of about 40" at my house near downtown Denver. Thanks for hosting the pic Dave.

That snowstorm was the most fun i have ever had in my Scooby. I live in Loveland and we got about 2ft. Ft. Collins got almost 4ft. It was somuch fun. Untill i had to deliver Pizza's. But I was the only Del driver that could work in that storm.......
