Nice! Is the GT wheel any smaller then the stock wheel? I guess your airbag isn't activated right?

The wheel's the same diameter as the stock wheel, maybe a little smaller, but not much. The airbag isn't even in the wheel and all the wiring was hooked up, so the cruise control buttons all work.

Is that a titanium STi key i see? I didnt know we could use those. If that is, it is one more thing on the list :o . This list just keeps on getting bigger. Not a bad thing

Good eyes!!

Yes, that is an STi key. It fits in the ignition and trunk without modification. You'll have to shave down the width of the key to make it fit in the door lock, though. I just have two keys . . . one to open the locks and the other to turn on the car.

did the sti key fit in the ignition and trunk before it was cut? i have a key laying around my house and i finaly got time to go get it cut but every where i go said it wont work and they wont cut it. they said since the blank does not fit in the igniton or trunk that it wont fit after they cut it either. the part# i got is 57497fe000. is this for the gdb or gc8? or is there only one sti key? im lost. did a search but could not come up with anything for the bc-bf beside here. thanks for the help.

Id like to see some pics of yours with the new wheel homeslice. I want a new wheel but dont really wanna sacrifice my airbag. Call me paranoid.

Very cool. I like all the shiny things that blink and beep and make the car go faster :D . I'd love to have an STi key too

I honestly, don't know what they did to the key to make it fit. It obviously hasn't been shaved sown any and is almost twice as thick as the stock key. Did you try taking it to a dealer to get it cut?

Igg, the interior would be even better if the S-AFC actually lit up . . . I blew out the lighting in the unit a couple months ago . . . now it's just a $150 dash ornament  Thank god I bought it used.

did u get the car from adam with the key? the cutter at the dealer wont acept the head of the key.

is looks just like boostjunkies except with red stiching. the thing that sucks about our airbags are they are 1st gen. all the good wheels are 2nd gen. so that means my aibag is inop and i pulled the bulb out the cluster.
as much as i like an airbag i like the leather a lil more. i got the wheel thinking it would work. installed the cruise stalk plugs in but then tryed to hook the airbag up, no dice. once u go leather u dont go back.

Yup, Adam already had the key made up for it. You might wanna talk to him about where he got it done cause he had ia key made up for my old GT.
