Headlight Swap - 91 Legacy Turbo Sedan

Thanks to all who answered my question.
I guess I'm stuck with the standard 45/65W units. These are so easy
to overdrive on gravel roads. Now I really have to rely on my
auxiliary Hella's for TSD rallying.

try different settings with your lights. Different aiming positions can make
a world of difference.

what bulbs do you have, 9004? I have a Large machine shop, and passion

Thanks very much for the offer. I'm just wondering if its worth the
trouble of making an adaptor. The problem I find with the NA 91
Legacy's 45/65W 9004 units is the design of the reflector. It seems
to difuse the light pattern too broad (wide). There is no "forward
punch" to them at all.
I have driven a 92 and 93 Legacys and the light pattern, especially
in high beam is completely different. The design was improved
tremendously and in my opinion its because of different reflector
design.
If your passion is to invent, how about coming up with an alternate
location in changing the cruise control lever from its current
location at the steering wheel to some place on the dashboard? I am
interested in changing the stock steering wheel with a
Momo/Sparco/Grant type, but these have no application the accept
cruise control.

Funny you should mention the cruise control. I have been working on
putting a subaru cruz lever on a GMC pickup. HA The systems are very
similar, but the subaru is much better (I think). Dan

P.S. Try JC Whitney they have a dash mounted cruise control :-) just a

Are the bulbs in the 91 the same as in the 90 Legacy? I've got 80/100W bulbs in mine. I believe they are the 9004 ones.

The standard wattage on the Canadian 91 Turbo model are 55/65W 9004
bulbs. I have used 80/100w 9004 bulbs but the wiring started to
really heat, so I went back to the standard units.
