Subject: uppipe downpipe

After reading the I-club for a while there is always
talk about up pipes and down pipes.. are these going
to be a part of the legacy exhaust group buy thing?

The uppipe is kind of like a collector on a set of headers from the stock exhaust manifold to the turbocharger turbine inlet. It directs the exhaust flow to drive the turbocharger turbine. All turbos have it or a variation.

The downpipe accepts the exhaust gas from the turbine outlet after passing thru the turbine, and directs it on towards the catalytic converters and the rest of the exhaust system. The downpipe onward is what the group buy is about.

Seems like this is a good time to put our exhaust group buy FAQ list together. I'm at lunch at work now. I will contribute on another post.
