A friend of mine just replaced his stock tiwn turbo of his Supra with
a larger aftermarket turbo. He has worked on Subarus in the past
(especially the SVX) and he feels pretty certain that his twin turbo
setup could be installed fairly easily on my 92 Legacy. Anyone have
any opinions or suggestions. Figured I'd ask the true Legacy
experts. The price he is asking is only 300 bucks and that includes
his help in installing it. Almost too good to pass up. Even if I
couldn't get it to work with my setup I could ebay it.

TT is interesting, but think about it: He just converted to single
turbo. Many Supra and RX7 guys do because it's relatively easy.
It would be a unique project, but i'd seriously see what you can do
to make one of those single turbos fit on yours, i'm sure its
larger...

Twin turbo for Legacy
I have 180000 miles on the car. If I were to blow it
up I'd be sure and offer it to everyone here for any
spare parts. I work at a Subaru dealership and am
keeping my eye out for a 92-94 Legacy Sport Sedan so I
plan on replacing the car in the next couple months
anyhow.

You may fall into a difficult situation. On the B4 legacy's and liberty you

I would agree with that. Why do Nissan GTR Skyline owners turn to a big
turbo and chuck the twin system away. Simple big power gains. I was going to
install a B4 motor in my liberty but thought it was to much trouble if I
wanted big power. But i'll say it again what a bang for buck. Do it.

I also think it would be a good idea to at least try it. Correct me if
I am wrong but from what little I have heard the main problem with
this setup is control. A lot of advances have been made in this area.
I work in automotive electronics everyday and would like to see this
and possibly even try it if you decide against it.
