Had same symptoms
Replaced water pump last weekend
Seems to have solved the problem
Pump seals expand and contract so doesn't leak when hot or cold, but on the way down after sitting a while.
Dealer mech/tech that changed out my pump showed me how the gasket can slip on installation if not glued to pump housing and will leak after fresh pump install.
