Chips
I'd be curious to how they claim a certain hp for the different chips.......ProECM makes a chip.....I was talking with a guy at suby sports and seemed pretty good.....makes the car steer away from the base fuel maps.....changes how the computer learns.

Chips
The best way is to Dyno the chip and then do road tests that is what I
did when I designed the chip that ProEcm is making a knockoff of. You
might want to hang on for a bit I am going to Dyno a much improved
version of it this week.

Chips
Doug,
i have a chip installed in my RS Turbo. Excellent. Can also have a
switch installed inbetween so as to be able to run on std ecu setting
if needed. A guy here in sydney makes them. Max boost in cold
weather under full load is 17psi. You will need to already have a
good full 3" exhaust and free flowing air inlet for the chip to
perform at its best. This is what the chip is tuned to. If you like i
can send you some details.
please forward your email address to me.
regards, rod melrod@optusnet.com.au

Chips
Hey Rod,
What is the compression ratio on Your RS turbo? I am in the process
of incorporating a boost mod into a chip. I have been running 15lbs on
my EJ22t for a month now with no ill effects. The most we have ever
run was 23lbs but that was with an upgraded turbo and large front
mount intercooler and mostly for 1/4 mile runs at the track. Anyone
have any input?

What is the compression ratio on Your RS turbo? I am in the process
of incorporating a boost mod into a chip. I have been running 15lbs on
my EJ22t for a month now with no ill effects. The most we have ever
run was 23lbs but that was with an upgraded turbo and large front
mount intercooler and mostly for 1/4 mile runs at the track. Anyone
have any input?

What is the size of the turbo running 15psi? intercooler? injectors?
exhaust? what are you using for boost control?
(what exactly do you want input on?) =)

Chips
It's the stock IHI VF11 with a factory water to air intercooler from a
European Legacy the stock injectors a Super Sprint ss 2/1/2" exhaust
plus a cold air intake. Where I live is about 5000' above sea level.
The boost control is an electronic type that I made and it holds right
at 15lbs right now. I figured if the US WRX can run this level of
boost why not me? I have a better intercooler. What I wanted is some
input on is what other people are running and the results. ( I just
can't see paying $300-400 for a boost controller).

Chips
std compression on the RS Liberty is 8.0:1
the turbo is a IHI RHB52 which easly handles 17/18 psi. same as the
early WRX turbo, ie TD05. Then the wrx went to small turbo's from
1996 on....
