The car dosen't really bog, rather time on the track 'bogs' from 8.9 seconds in the 1/8 mile to 8.7 seconds. This thing pulls hard right up to fuel cut (limiter). No big deal - I'll play around with the fluid level in the tranny to get it to shift before limiter... Part of my problem is that I am ru...

Clamp Signal - Raise Rev Limit
I was reading up on trying to raise the stock rev limit in my '91 Legacy T with TD05, WRX IC and FMU. I keep bouncing off the limiter between 1st and 2nd gear shifts (auto tranny) and it really bogs me down. How could I clamp things off as mentioned below? I have lots of fuel control with the FMU. T...

Timing Advance ?
I am running a '91 T with a 60 trim T3, WRX TMIC with water spray, 550cc 5th injector above 13psi (injector flow and trigger psi adjustable), Wlabro FP, 4.10 gears with rear lsd, 195/45/15 wheels (for the gearing), Auto tranny with cooler. Tuning for the 1/8 mile drags using EGT sensor. I used the s...

Great Turbo. I've been running one on my Legacy for 4 months. The 90 deg bend fits fine and you can use your stock plumbing to lead up to it without any problems! The tight part is the compressor outlet. I modified my PCV plumbing (not a big deal) and found the perfect radiator hose from Advance Aut...

Problem solved :) The fluid level was still too low tonight and I added a whole lot to it! I was not reading the stick properly or something and thought I had enough in there yesterday and on previous checks. Now the car shifts properly or right at 6500 with no cut out. Tomorrow I'll do some Gtech r...

I didn't know there was a rev limiter on these cars. Makes good sense that my problem is because of it! I have modded 2 other Legacy T's with auto trannies and never had a problem with the limiter. In fact, by varying the amount of fluid, we could get the tranny to shift at 7500 rpm (removed fluid)....

The O2 sensor is already disconnected from the ecu and system has reset. Any other ideas? tried a few more 1/4 mile runs last night but my times sure suffer with this cutout from first to second. I did notice on the graphs from my runs that the 1st to second shifts around 6600 rpm and the next shift...

Thanks VRG3, My plugs are gapped about at about for higher boost about 30 but I'll check them out. One thing to note: My O2 sensor is not working in its current position - just before the second cat. Maybe this has something to do with it. Changed my coil pack last night and it didn't take the probl...

Engine Cut from 1st to 2nd
Hello, I am tuning a '91 Legacy T with auto tranny and am experiencing what I think is ignition cut out when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd on a hard run. I don't think that it is fuel cut because I dump a cloud of unburnt (black) fuel during the cut out time. NOTE: This cut out time is .5 seconds m...

I have a little update and a question... I have 12 volts into my main fuse box (under hood) but now I only have 2 volts at SBF 4 and on the corrsponding bvlack and yellow stipped ignition wire. My battery dosen't drain - been at 12 volts for a month in this car. Where is the voltage going? (Key is n...

I did a bit more troubleshooting. The temp outside was warm at -10 deg C (but the wind is what got me today) so I had to spend an hour or so on this mess. The positive battery cable is OK and I traced the large white cables from the alternator (the ones with low voltage - around 2 volts not 6.5 - so...
