Pull the engine??? Whatever tech told you to do that, tell his service manager. He has no business under a hood. You can do valve cover gaskets on these cars in 30 minutes if you hustle. If they're leaking they're probably pretty nasty-looking, so you can clean them while they're off if you want; t...

Best way to do Valve Cover Gaskets...

Ok, so I found my boost problem. The line coming from the compressor housing nipple to the boost solenoid was undone and that caused my high boost levels. So now I am boosting fine. :)

Thanks for the help guys.

So I just put a 1/4" vacuum line from those nipples and the boost will be at 6 or do I need to disconnect for the boost solenoid too?

I hate to say it but I havent been intercooled since August. I rarely ever boost 18psi. Im barely in boost.

Sorry for asking for a picture. I was looking at the All Data picture of the turbo and couldnt find them.

Dont remember the numbers but they were high leakage. Im going to be redoing both tests tomorrow and doing the boost down to 6 like you said. VRG3, do you have a pic of both inlets that I'll be connecting?

Stupid me, I think the schrader valve was messed up. Im going to do it again tomorrow.

As for intercooler/management/etc..... none :) My boost solenoid is stuck open and I havent gotten around to getting a newer one or an MBC.

If it's consistant across all cylinders, that is kinda weird. Put some oil in the spark plug hole, and re-check. If the compression is better, then it's likely the rings. If not, likely the valves. You'll have to tear down the engine anyway, so just check it out when you get the engine open. How do...

60psi at all 4 cylinders?

So I did a compression test yesterday and it read that Im at 60 psi at all 4 cylinders. I dont know how that could be as my car is running. At 60psi, wouldnt the car have trouble starting and running. Well, I also did a leakdown and Im having High Leakage %. Do you think I need to rebuild the heads ...

My current exhaust setup

Well went to a rally-x on sunday and this is what resulted from it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/Spud-GT/MVC-001F.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/Spud-GT/MVC-002F.jpg Damaged the muffler so I just cut it off until I get a replacement. Kinda sounds like a V8 at times. But this is...

Will 18's fit on stock SS suspension?

Might buy a friend set of 18" Enkei so I can use the RS wheels for only track/rally-x days. Has anyone tried 18's in or around this size 225/40?

No goals really, just a better looking exhaust. I like both the Carbon Ti and the Blitz Nur Spec. Im thinking since I already have a 3 inch catback i can do the downpipe, use my existing piping and put the axle back on.

Wanting to go full HKS Carbon Ti

Well Im wanting to go with an HKS Downpipe and Carbon Ti Exhaust but Im concerned about fitting. How different is the wrx exhaust plumbing to ours? I know I'll have to rebung the 02 sensor location but thats fine. Or actually, I might just do a Blitz nur spec axle back.
