Well, the TD05H-16G can be run at stock and only slightly higher pressures without running the injectors static, but, yes, anything larger than that would require something to get more fuel into the chambers. I have often wondered if the same type of mod that we do to the WRX injectors would work on...

Pressure and volume are not the same function. If the TD05-16G is producing 350CFM at 8.7PSI, while your old turbo was only producing about 190CFM at the same pressure, your injectors are having to work much harder to keep up. While the stock injectors can handle stock boost levels from the TD05, if...

[quote="awdboostfun"]Great, thanks for the explaning the monster port.

So a big 16G would be $299 over the standard priced 16G? A super 16G would be the same $299 price over the standard (small) 16G?

[quote]

Yes, any compressor wheel upgrade is $299. :)

Wow, cool, I have some questions though. 1st- Is this 16G you're selling a small or big 16G? 2nd- I'm not familiar with the 'monster porting' or whatever it's called. Could you explain exactly what this is and what the benefits are? 3rd- If I get a 16G is it possible to upgrade to an 18G compressor...

Are you referring to the older Legacy or the new 05 GT turbo?

Screw them out of the VF series and see if they will fit in the TD series, they might be too small. I have the larger ones if you need them, they are near impossible to find.

It depends on which style cartridge you are using, some of the TD05-16G's use the same size banjo bolts as the TD04's and RHB5, however, the newer cartridges use a 2mm larger bolt which is VERY hard to find, it took us almost a year to source them.

Yes, it uses the Subaru specific turbine housing which works with the "WRX Style" donpipe flange. :) We have already sold two here in the US for fitment to the Legacy Turbos, hopefully we can get the time to put one on our shop car as well!

Re: turbocharger specification confusion

What exactly makes the turbos measure large? Is it the size of the turbine wheel? the size of the compressor? of both combined? What is the logic to referring to a turbocharger as 'big' or 'small'? Most people when referring to a turbo being big or small are referring to the compressor wheel. That ...

I have a few questions/suggestions. How about a parallel fuel mod kit for the turbo engines? Also I have a stock Legacy turbo VF-10 that I was thinking about doing the 'T'Bird' mod hybrid mod where the compressor of the '87-88 T-bird is added to the Legacy's exhaust. Would I be able to send that in...
