Re: FS: '91 pearl white front fenders

Too bad you're in FL. I hit a deer a couple weeks ago and could use at least the right side. Pearl white parts are proving very rare around CO. May get back to ya if my next paycheck has room for such a purchase.

Re: Engine casting number 771488... What year?

I counted teeth on old and newer, both have 211, so I stuck the good one back on. It still has timing marks and text on it so should be good for a while. I'm just still dealing with the odd running issues. It acts like timing is off, but the marks all line up. I don't really know what else to do wit...

Engine casting number 771488... What year?

Simple as that. I have that casting number on the 2.2 NA that is in my 93 turbo wagon. Google isn't being all that helpful. Local dealer is supposedly looking into it for me. It needs a timing belt and the spare I have from a '96 2.2 seems just a bit longer, maybe 2-3 extra teeth. The '96 belt is pr...

Re: Turbo hoods and a 22T in Denver

Good to know the parts are being preserved. There's a silver wagon at Pull n Save with engine as of about 2 weeks ago. If I had the $, I would have grabbed it. Looks like that wagon was on a drywall crew before it ended up in the yard.

Re: Turbo hoods and a 22T in Denver

Yea, there was one white facelift sedan that looked about 99% rustfree. There was some penetration on the usual spot at the left rear. I can't guarantee the LF, but the car looked really good. Regular white, not Pearl.

Re: Turbo hoods and a 22T in Denver

I was just at U Pull and Pay today. The silver wagon is gone, but they still had a winestone sedan there. Hood and trunk are good on it, but not much else. Interior is gutted. There are several other decent non turbo legacys in the yard though.

Turbo hoods and a 22T in Denver

I was at U Pull n Pay and Pull n Save in Denver last week and found 3 facelift turbo legacy's. 2 straight hoods as well as other body parts. The engine was still in a silver wagon at Pull n Save in Aurora. Just passing this along. If I had the cash and space, I could see myself becoming a parts hoar...

Re: Aftermarket radiator questions

I finally replaced my Koyo all aluminum after about 30k miles. I couldn't pinpoint a leak, but it always smelled of coolant and needed periodic refills. When I pulled it to put in a Mishimoto, the Koyo was completely green on the back side. It had just been sweating green for quite awhile.

Re: N/A motor ran on T Ecu, now no start on N/A Ecu

MAF has an AUTECS label on it. ECU is AUTECS as well. I have a JECS MAF and ECU too, but got same results. I'm going to peak under my dash and match wiring on the wagon to mine. Someone has had the TPS related ecu connector open several times on the wagon. That's the only code I'm getting now and ma...

I've had a yellow top in my Jeep for couple years. I ran the winch for an hour with the engine off. It started right up. I've got a Napa brand dry cell in the Subaru, no problems with it either.

Re: N/A motor ran on T Ecu, now no start on N/A Ecu

The car is running on its 3rd N/A ecu. The one that came with it had a dead fuel pump relay control port. Still getting code 31 after tinkering with the wiring on both ends of the TPS system. Also noticed I have nothing in pin B48 16. Its listed as non-turbo atmospheric pressure sensor in a couple o...

Re: N/A motor ran on T Ecu, now no start on N/A Ecu

Currently running AUTECS MAF and AUTECS ECU. Car seems happier, but still won't rev over 2000. We got a TPS code from the latest ECU, so swapped another TPS in, but no change. I guess its time to start tracing wires and see if there's a break somewhere. Yesterday, TPS code would go away while giving...

Re: Seemed easy, but... N/A in Turbo wagon ? %&*$

Yep, I assume its an N/A IAC. I'm running the engine as I found it when I picked up this project. There were nuts and bolt and tools and parts hiding and missing all over the engine compartment. Engine and tranny were only bolted together on top, missing nuts on the bottom. Anyway, this thing is sta...

Re: Seemed easy, but... N/A in Turbo wagon ? %&*$

Hmmm... I think I'll try another N/A ecu then. I screwed around for several months on my EJ20G into N/A swap and finally tried another 22T ecu and it fired right up and ran great. GRRR!

Re: Seemed easy, but... N/A in Turbo wagon ? %&*$

It does have a cat. I'm pretty sure the issue is electrical though. It drove decent and revved to redline when under the control of the 22T ecu with the same cat installed. It hasn't run enough on the N/A ecu yet to ruin a cat. Everything flowed and smelled normal on the T ecu.

Seemed easy, but... N/A in Turbo wagon ? %&*$

Picked up a non-running TW with an N/A swap back in Nov. Got it running on T ecu in Dec. Ran ok, but lacked power and idled rough. I swapped in N/A ecu a couple weeks ago. No start. Fuel pump wasn't running. Tried another N/A ecu, started right up, idled rough but smoothed out as it warmed up. Idles...

Re: N/A motor ran on T Ecu, now no start on N/A Ecu

So, I determined the fuel pump wasn't running on the N/A ECU I had. Pumped fine on the turbo ECU. Apparently, a bad ecu then. I got another ecu from a used parts place. Car fired right up but seemed to have a significant miss at idle. As it warmed up idle smoothed out and seems perfect. Try to rev i...

N/A motor ran on T Ecu, now no start on N/A Ecu

So, I swapped the N/A ecu back into my N/A swapped Turbo wagon. I flipped the cam and crank wires to match the N/A setup. Car ran on the Turbo ecu, not great, but it would start and drive. Now, it just spins over and won't start. I don't hear the fuel pump running when the key is first switched on. ...

EJ22 running on EJ22T ECU ?

I picked up a non-running '93 TW last Nov. Somewhere along the way, a N/A 2.2 was swapped in. It was on craigslist twice, 2 different owners, both telling the same lies about it. Anyway, I put in a turbo ecu I had and got it running in Dec. After replacing the VSS on the tranny, it seems to run a li...

I have an '89 EJ20G in my '91 Legacy L. Its past time to replace the valve cover gaskets and I have the engine out to replace my fried release bearing. But I got told by the dealer that he's never seen the gaskets I brought in. Any chance something USDM matches up? Engine is going back in tomorrow e...
