I have the K&N drop in air filter too, I'm not sure why the new exhaust (05 STi turboback) helped, I kinda figured it'd make it worse, but I do the math everytime I go to the pump(unless my odometer is broken...which could be a possibility  ), it ranges from 22 mpg when I really accelerate...

god damn metric-standard conversions!!! jk definitely go with the 94 octane with the turbo, when I switched my mileage increased dramatically compared to what i was getting with 91 octane. i was at about 16-17 miles per gallon and then it jumped to about 21 mpg, and with the new exhaust i'm getting ...

since its just the axleback, they'll probably both sound similar, and those are pretty easy to swap out, if I were you, I'd just go with the 05 simply because its newer and presumably lower mileage.

FS or FT:A pillar gauge pod

I have an A pillar gauge pod with 2 openings, I want one with only one opening(only want the boost gauge).

So if someone has a one opening guage pod, I will trade straight across for it, or will sell the 2 opening gauge pod for $22 shipped(exactly what it cost me).

Thanks for the responses guys, I agree with you Tristan, the winestone is growing on me...but I really like the idea of getting the car that metallic black like the STi to be paired nicely with black (or possibly gold? or gunmetal, still not sure haha) powdercoated WRX rims. Oh and that chrome strip...

If I were you, I'd either not buy it, or buy it, but pretty much immediately after buying it, go and sell one or both of the turbo legacies for the cash. Don't get stuck with 3 non working/barely working cars and no cash-you'll be forced to sell them for far less than their worth down the road if yo...

maybe i just got lucky, i was just too lazy/cheap(mainly cheap) to do it any other way, i never use the AC, but it makes the defroster work, so i just went the route i did, no vaccum. oddly enough, its still blows just as cold as it did with the original R12.

just do it yourself, napa sells the conversion kit for 50 bucks and it takes about 10 mins, but in doing so...i guess i vented it to the atmosphere...so i take full responsibility for global warming

Paint

A guy I work with does bodywork/painting-I've seen his other work and its pretty damn good, so he said he could hook me up with work for very cheap. I could get all the body work taken care of-dents, dings, rust, etc and have the whole car painted for about $600-$700 and closer to $1000 to get it ja...
