I just yanked my out today. I cut the U, then I removed the blank (fog light?) from under bumper and cut off the back so now it will be my air intake bezel. Tomorrow I'll pick up some flex duct and connect the intake tube to the bezel and deal w/ the bezel attachment.

Enlarge the hole and put a piece of 2.5" pvc pipe (an elbow) in the the place of the snorkus. 2.5" should be enough since you have a n/a, or you might want to just do the 3". You could also put in a K&N airfilter or similiar.

I doubt you would notice anything with it. You'd be better off modding the intake box yourself.

And which intake box mod would prove more valuable?
I, mean, snorkus removal will probably make a car just a little louder (and meaner!) but won't provide any power benefit.
