Old TD series turbos used 04 05 06 and 16 18 20 to give an estimation to the size of the two sides of the turbo. So 04 16 is a smaller quicker turbo, 06 20 is a larger slower turbo...
Like GT25 is a small turbo and GT 42 is a large one..... basically the compressor size dictates what kind of turbo ...

Hi, I just bought a Legacy Turbo (91) and was refered to this site by Mike C from Toronto Subaru Club.
