Big TD04 SOLD!!

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=44521420#post44521420 Pictures in link above. Great shape no cracks on the hot side. Wheels don't hit housing and came out of running engine. Removed from JDM EJ205 when I put in my LGT and I reused the VF40 it had. So I don't need this one any more. ...

I have the ABS light on in my 96 outback. Now I tried removing the relays and the light was still on like the FSM says. I also tried getting a code from it and dont know what the correct connector is to ground to get the code pulled. I also havent tried removing the control unit to see if the light ...

I can say for a fact the Outback tire size has almost no clearance with the spring perch. That is another thing you could do is put 95-99 outback stuff on.

Ya I did the same thing last time I pulled a motor. Played like hell til I undid the dogbone.

The dogbone is the mount on top of the transmission that connects it to the firewall.

If it has the crank cog still on the 2.5 use the one from your 2.2. The newer stuff has a different tone wheel. If you dont swap them out it wont run.

Well I took a look at the gaskets. You could make it work if you wanted to. You will have to elongate holes. Though the manifold on the 2.2 is alot smaller than the 2.5. So I will just use the 2.2 heads. Damn what a big circle.

The "arm and stub" heads can rev very well too. There is a guy on RS25 that takes his to 7500 daily. I ran into another problem though. I was going to use the intake manifold from the 95 and put that on top of the phase 1 short block but the intake bolt pattern is different. It looks like ...

EJ25 P1 (DOHC) chambers = 49cc EJ20G chambers = 56cc I've got both heads and the ports are nearly identical, tho the 2.5s seem to be a cleaner casting thats better formed and have a more pronounced knife edge between the intake ports. And the 2.5s have shorter valve guides that open up more port vo...

So your saying I will get low CR using all stuff for a phase 1 2.5? How can that be if the stock CR is 9.7 or so. What is the volume of the ej20g vs the ej25d heads? Like I said the 96 2.5 heads have the same configuration I am told as a ej20g. It is only the 96 stuff in 97 it was different. Can any...

Well duh. I dont have cams for the turbo heads anyway. I was going to use the ones from a 96 2.5. Those are supposed to be the same type of valve train but only that year.

Which heads?

I have a 95 wagon with a 2.2 5 spd. I have a phase 1 2.5 shortblock. I also have 2.2 heads from a 90 NA 2.2 legacy. I have heads from a early ej20g with rockers arms but no cams, cam gears or valve covers. I want to make a franken 2.5 motor for this car. I dont want to dump a ton of money on it but ...
