Wow it still looks good and it is older than mine. Yours has the Legacy name plates on the sides under the window. I thought that was an odd place to place it. By 1993, the Legacy name was placed on the back. Yor exhaust pipes look new too. Is it a replacement or is it origional?

This is a bit off topic, but waht are the long term effects to the engine when a larger than designed turbo is installed? It must create greater heat and force on the pistons valves and block. How much will it decrease the life of the engine?

Wow, your car looks just like mine on the outside -a white 93 Legacy. Mine is an automatic though and looks like new on the inside.

Interesting. The car is ten and I have never had the computer checked. I took it to a small tire/oil change place. They saw the check engine light and wanted to check it for $100. I told them no thanks for that price. Who can check these things for a good price.

I can start my car cold and run it in the city and highway for hours without it turning on. If I run it, shut it off and restart it hot, the check engine light comes on and stays on. The temp stays normal and the engine feels and sounds normal. What is going on? It has been doing this for months.

My 93 Legacy is starting to do the same thing. I think it would look horrible as shiny chrome up top. I guess I'll have to take it somewhere to have painted when it gets bad.

I was looking at a car mag at a friend's house and saw an article on a new Legacy for 2004. They were going to add the big turbo to the 2.5L 4 cyl. It was expected to have 280-300 hp stock. I thought they were going to call it the WRX model too. Now I see on Motorweek they are calling it B4.

Sorry about the speeding ticket. I drive on I4 and around Orlando too. The state highway patrol uses a lowpower superKa band. Most detectors can't see it. My old Whistler had Ka detection and couldn't see them at all. Where were you caught? I probably use the same road

This may be a dumb question, but can I convert my old 1993 Legacy L into a turbo? I saw there are 1993 turbo's made by subaru. I've read some of the other posts on turbos and they are mostly about installing a bigger turbo. I'm not looking for a huge boost, just better than what I have now.
