Yep, Ontario Winter is one of the Ontario Road Rally Cup events that runs every year around Bancroft. Most of the roads are used as part of the Rally of the Tall Pines.

I bought mine at Susquehanna Motorsports.

http://www.rallylights.com/

Great guys, helped me out when I lost a clip that holds the bulb in one of my FF300s when I hit a deer and the lense popped out.

The lights are two Hella 500s in the middle, and two Hella FF300s on the sides. Bracket is custom.

Um, yeah, tire pressures, not boost! 11psi boost, no intercooler (yet, Saab TMIC waiting to go in before the next event). They're 15", and no I don't think they fit over WRX brakes. My buddy with an RS runs Legacy mags for his gravels, but they also won't clear WRX brakes. http://www.ce.rit.edu...

Oh, and the black legacy actually has an EJ20 under the hood, that's "inzomniac" from here and the Toronto Subaru Club boards.

Yeah, they're Forester steelies with Silverstone gravel tires, great grip. I ran 25psi all day, and did manage to get gravel between a tire and rim on my last run, didn't even notice it was flat until I went to put my street tires back on. Gravel tires have such stiff sidewalls, it didn't sit much l...

He won his class! (only one in it though). Overall, he placed 11th of 34, pretty damn fast. He beat me by a second on the first lap, the one I messed up. He was very smooth, but he's been doing Solo 1/2 for years, and helped design the course. He also had a couple runs through it setting it up too. ...

Rallycross Pictures

This past weekend the Maple Leaf Rally Club organized the Fourstar Motorsports Rallycross event up here in Bancroft, Ontario. We had 34 cars entered, including 3 Legacy Turbos. Here are a few pics of me (including me messing up badly in the first, and showing off my blown struts in the second) and t...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Dealing with the oil lines, TBE, and everything else is what brings the time up. The tech said that there are bolts on the underside of the turbo that you can't get to without taking the turbo out, I don't believe that though. I think I'm going to give this one a sh...

This thread's gone way off topic, but yeah, I know that feeling. I've done brakes, clutch (stock WRX), TBE, and now this. I've put about $3K CDN into this car now, in the last 16 months since I bought it. Of course, I've also put 53k kms on it in that time too.

I couldn't imagine the bus from Yonge/Sheppard to 410/Steeles, yikes, that'd take 3 hours probably.

Other than bing a heavy pig, the Solara's not that bad, spins the inside front really nicely if you disable the traction control

I suppose, though that's what the HAM radio's for!

I'm trying to look at this in the best light, I just didn't need this expense after I just spent all that money on an exhaust. Ah well. I'm driving a Solara to work tonight, top down and everything.

I may be taking you up on that, but not right away. My bill just went up by $300, crank sensor fell apart as they were taking it off, and it needs a new tensioner. Also, they can't get the parts til tomorrow, so now I can't get to work tonight unless I borrow my mom's car or something. Yay, $1000 bi...

Up-Pipe removal Qs

OK, I've got an exhaust leak at the up-pipe/turbo junction, I think it's just the gasket that's gone, but it could be the pipe itself also. Now, The stealer wants 4+ hours labour to take it off. Does the turbo really have to be removed to get the up-pipe out? They want to remove the turbo, TBE obvio...

Actually, it sounds like he's got water inside the plastic light assembly. I just had a look at my spare one, and I'm not sure how you'd get water in there. Easiest way to get it out, and keep it drained, would be to drill a small hole in one of the bottom corners, it should drain/evaporate then.

I seem to have a unique part. Anyone heard of a plastic end tank 15 channel one? That's what I have. Also, everyone's talking about 2" intake and output pipe on theirs, mine has 2.25" ID piping.

Yeah, I was meaning the one in the DP. That's where I thought it was, just wanted to make sure. OK, so now I'm leaning towards this Stromung DP, the front part at least, and having an O2 bung added in our stock location. Then I can have the midpipe lengthened, leaving the cat in the middle, and just...

Now, I'm planning a custom exhaust from the DP back, so would it be possible to get one of these "shorty" pipes, and go custom from there back? I don't see why not.

Where is a WRX O2 sensor bung?

A little stage road action

Here's a neat pic of my car at the Rally of the Tall Pines. I was chief safety officer, basically in charge of the spectator area, which was a 1.2km section of stage. Between runs of the stage, I got to blast up and down the road to keep (scare) people off the stage. Here's the best pic anyone's tak...

I dunno, maybe it was unfair of me to say that, but I was trying to light a fire under his arse to send me something I'd paid for two and a half weeks before. It seemed like he was spending his time producing a more profitable product instead of doing them in the order he received them. I'm just che...
