That brings up a point I haven't mentioned yet. In drag racing, automatics are faster most of the time. However I like to turn also. I'm gonna ask a few things here so be ready: Are their options to build up the 4EAT? (shamless plugs are welcome) Could I adapt sometype of aforementioned transmission...

Ok, looks like this is gonna to be a project for the far future instead of the towards the end of the year like I had planned. I'm going to be posting a WTB add for 5-spd transmissions and such but if you guys know of any good places to go for info on the swap and where to get the parts. Feel free t...

The question is not why but rather, why not?
Really though, some peoples power goals go way above and beyond the factory drivetrain components strength.

OMG BAC5.2 FTW! Ok, $6000 for an indestructable tranny seems like a good price to me. Speedometer operation would be a definite plus. What kind of car should the donor tranny come out of? The in the end goal for this car is (laugh if you want) 10sec streetable. I am not saying it's going to be done ...

vrg3- Significant power is in the future. I wasn't aware of the other options besides when I saw pictures of a dogbox I was like "thats meaty and I should start saving and researching them." The project hasn't even begun yet, so there is plenty of time for research and tool aquistion. My f...

4EAT< 5-spd dogbox?

Ok, this is a big hypothetical situation. Sorry for those who clicked hoping to see some orgy of straight teeth and yea that stuff. I am going to be picking up a 91 SS w/ 4EAT transmission. It has 138k miles on it so I figure the tranny will be out soon if it isn't already dead. When that happens, I...

Nice finds but I was looking for something in the price range of the last one I found ($900). I wish I could find the guy who bought it to see if he wanted to sell one of his 14 other suby's.

WTB: Legacy Turbo 91-94

Alright, I'm not giving up without a fight. The last one was practically bought out from under me. I had my heart set on that car and someone with 14 other Subaru's decided he needed 15. So, if anyone is selling a Turbo legacy, auto or 5spd. Anywhere within 200 miles of Pittsburgh, PA. But if you ha...

Well fellas its a sad day for me. I thought I would be joining the wonderful world of legacy ownership but unfortunately a Subaru fanatic got to the car before me. Apparently the guy who bought it had 14, now he has 15. I duno if he is a member on here or not but come on, share the wealth. lol So ye...

Dang. You guys work fast. I appreciate the comment that its a belt not a chain. I'm new and ready to learn. The only boxer motors I have delt with have used chains. When you say use the manual button to hold it in the gears you are talking about the one on the shift knob itself right? I haven't seen...

Hello out there in Legacy land!

Hi, I'm introducing my self to the site and asking some questions. I found it after a google search for anything about 94 legacy's since I was looking to buy one. But recently I came across a 91 turbo sedan automatic. It has some cosmetic issues, normal for a 14 year old car. The seller says he had ...
