I'm looking for a steering rack for my 91' SS. By any chance do you have the rack & tie rods available, and could you tell me about their condition? Thanks!
Eric

I bought a WRX trans under the assumption it was necessary for the trans to be from a car that had a hydraulic clutch. I was not able to find any substantial evidence that any 1:1 5speed would work, and was actually told by a parts locater(I did not buy it through one) that a WRX trans would bolt ri...

I sent an email to Rallispec and they informed that the necessary transfer shafts/gears can be had for $203. Hopefully this will finally end my transmission nightmares. I will update when I finally get it runing again.

output shaft ratios; 1.1:1 vs 1:1 and center diffs
I recently swapped the transmission in my 91 Legacy Turbo for that of an 01 WRX. Prior to the purchase I was unaware of the 1.1:1 ratio that I believe is due to the output shaft gears between that and the center diff. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong. I was planning on switching the cente...

About 15 minutes ago I attempted to install rear struts/springs from an 02' WRX on my 91' Legacy Turbo. If you read carefully, you would have seen attempted. The springs did not work as the 91 and I believe 90's had a tapered spring with a smaller tophat bolt pattern. I will look at them again tomor...

4 corner lights stay on-FIXED!! IGNORE NEWBIE
facts:91 Turbo Legacy 5spd, Canadian Import, thus daytime running lamps problem: The four corning lamps stay on after I leave the car and shut the lights off, why would this happen. Is there a relay that could have gone bad? Thanks again Eric Yeah, so I was cleaning my car with my father, and he hit...

Perhaps there are a few more, but these transmissions are overall amazingly simple AWD units. Since I could not figure out what was wrong with my trans, not going into first, I decided to open the case and see for myself, taking many pictures all the way. I believe I have found my problems. 1. The 1...

I think I have eliminated part of the problem. The clutch's pp side was metal and rivots!! So I replaced it with a WRX Exedy. 120k on the original clutch is pretty good, but 120k for a trans' life would not make me happy. With the clutch installed, I drove the car, still no first gear. I can now shi...

I have recently engaged in removing the transmission to install a new clutch on my 91 Turbo Legacy, however I can only get the trans to seperate ~1/2" from the engine. All four bolts holding the trans to the engine removed, as well as the "pitch brace", probably not the correct name, ...

My car is a 91 Legacy Turbo 5spd with the pull type hydraulic clutch: I was driving about 65mph and attempted to downshift for a ramp, I tried to get the transmission into fourth gear, however it would not go, I gave it a little more force and then heard and lightly felt the gears grind, therefor st...
