what i would recomend is down loading the factory service manual, i beleive there is a copy posted on this sight, if not rs liberty site has it posted.

no pulled tcu but will reinstall. abs light constant no blink, seatbelt blinking

did ej20 swap with aus ecu. runs hard two problems though
abs light is always lit and seat belt light always blinking

by the way for every body with info and parts on my swap i really appreciated the help and insight

i did same swap had to add two wires to f47 plug, those two wires went to four channel igniter. also had to move f47.9 wire tof47.8
the two other wires ispoke of earlier go to the newly created open pin slot. when i tried to fire ej20 off factory 93 ecu it did the same thing u described

two things to look at cam sprocket and crank sprocket. either one is damaged will cause problem like stated

does any one have a part # for a water pump off a jdm ej20g with a engine oil cooler? if i can get the suby # would be great

tried the stock ecu thing. wont work. ignition timing and cam timing is off. put in aus ecu from impressive and fired right up. as for fact ej22 wire harness it will work with extending iac wires and i had to extend oil press wire. if you compare the pinouts from cornell you will notice other pin lo...

yes maf was hooked up in the air flow! it wasnt hooked up to the air cleaner box. it was hooked up to the elbow which was hooked up to the resonator which was hooked up to the turbo 90.

fyi you can make the coil packs work off stock igniter.

if any body is interested the timing bumps on the intake cam are differnt on ej20 than ej22.changed com gears(yes they do fit)know getting spark from all coils. car still wont run. cam timing is differnt on engines.

tried a 91 na ecu started firing all four plugs but out of time
definately ecu issues

looking for a ej22t ecu to buy for a 93

does any body know how much boost a jdm ej20g runs?

wiring is good. think i found problem though only half of coil is sparking wiring checks out good between coil and igniter, tried extra igniter no change, coil is off running car
going to check wiring to ecu
any ideas?

the air control valve on the ej22 is under the intake manifold on the right side of the engine. the ej20 iac is on the left side top. do they interchange? as for the timing the sub tek checked and confirmed it was on. it fired up again really noisy almost like pinging at idle then died.

fired but ran like crap the electrical was a possible issue. all connections were good but harness was alittle melted(wife over heated old motor) went thru whole harness it is serviceable when it started i had to floor it to keep it running it would not rev over 2000 rpm. changed oil it smelled like...

pull wiring to check everything tomorrow eliminate that possibility
