I too had problems with the excessive valve lash, when i installed deltacams. I didnt like the the shims, so i took the rocker assembly to the mashine shop and told them to grind 0.7mm(0.027559 inch) off the rocker assembly support. But some HLA`s are allmost fully extended so maybe 0.75 or 0.8mm wo...

when i changed the coolant temp. sensor the smell was gone, no more hesitation and got better mpg.

all the EDM Legacyes had Bosch ABS units, never seen a nippon one.

the only thing made by Bosch that works!

i used Dishwashing detergent and hot water.
i used it for cleaning and degreasing after i ported the heads.

for cleaning oil and grease i use a 50/50 mixture of diesel and gasoline.

link about porting boxer engine heads, it shows an alfa romeo boxer head but the principle is the same for the our engines.

on that button it says "on heating" , that button only existed in Legacy 1.gen (pre-facelift) i must ask someone exactly what that button does.
