Just make a cardboard pattern of the hood scoop opening. Place it where you want it, then cut out the hood with a body saw. I used most of the factory clips that came from the original donor car (early STI I believe) and used small pieces of sheet metal bent slightly to make a spring like mounting c...

I had it dyno tuned at PDX tuning about 3 or 4 months ago. It put down 165 WHP and 172 ft-lbs at around 4600 rpm and I haven't changed anything since, but if you think I can squeeze more out of it, then by all means lets do it. 12 to 14 psi on the VF11 is about all you want push on that small turbo ...

I just happened across a 02 WRX rear sway bar and when I was looking at it I was like, "yeah its totally the same." So I tried to install it today... NOPE! THEN I came back to the good ol' LC to get the skinny (I should have done that first). Anyways, I have a 94 GT wagon and I measured th...

If you have an automatic I think its not too bad. But no, from what I've heard the 05 and up TMIC are an easier fit. There's plenty of people on this board who have done it though.

94 NA to turbo Auto tranny swap?

I currently have a 94 GT wagon with an AT. It now has a turbo motor pushing 170 whp. The original N/A tranny just went out and I want to upgrade to the turbo AT (4EAT). Do I need to swap out the rear end? According to the sticky on final drive gear ratios, they are the same. But I also read that the...

I have the old pads that came with the calipers, but they're shot. I'll check em out. Are there any shops chain automotive stores that sell the axis pads so I can just compare them in person. I just hate the idea of ordering something by mail that I might have to send back. I'm so impatient. OK... F...

How do I tell what year these WRX calipers are from?

I just got a set of front and rear WRX calipers to throw on my Legacy. I was told they were from a 2002 or 2003 WRX. So I want to make sure I order the right pads because the caliper design changed at some point in 2002. The only numbers I've found on the web are these: Front Calipers: 1/2002-7/2002...

Thanks for the heads up. I don't want drilled rotors anyway. I read through the break threads. Still not sure what manufacturer to get the rotors from. Unless I go OE. On a side note. I have 16" Legacy GT wheels. From a 98 or 99 MY. Will I have any problems with fitment? Jamal, I noticed you we...

Any one tried R1 Concept rotors?

I found this site that offers drilled/slotted WRX rotors for around $150 for all four rotors. Pretty dang cheap compared to anything else I've found. http://store.r1concepts.com/Brake%20Rotors/Subaru/Impreza%20WRX/?sck=10069583 Does anyone know anything about this company or these rotors? Its tempti...
