i have a 94 legacy turbo sedan 5sp and i need to change the tranny soon and wanted to know if the tranny from an ej20t bolt on to an ej22t.
Also if anyone knows where i can get the tranny from ej22t or ej20t thanks

will the swap be just as easy in a 94 sedan

i'm also considering doing a swap but want to know if i do mange to find another ej22t like the one i have now. is it possible to get more out of it or should i just swap in an ej20t in place of my old ej22t.

no i haven't tried doing that yet, is there anything else it could be or might be.

i can get it to go into third but not wen the car is in motion, also the problem first happened in heavy rain not sure if that could have anything to do with it.

it doesn't grind, its more like it sticks it won't lock into third gear. does it matter the the shifter is also very loose. i mean when its in gear i can still move the stick all the way from one side to the other (in all the gears), like you can when its in neutral.

I have a 94 legacy turbo 5sp and all of a sudden the car won't go into third gear now. I now have to go from second to fourth, and it just got back from the shop with a new clutch.

I know that they don't make a kit for our cars, but i'd like to find a kit that fit as close to perfect as possible. I have a 94 legacy turbo i'll be setting this up on the stock turbo abd also which would be best FMIC, TMIC or AWIC? i'm leaning a bit toward the FMIC but open to any thoughts or ...

well the first time it happened i pulled over right away and poped the hood and yes coolant did spray from the cap not the reservoir cap though but the one on top. When I just let the car run after a while there is very little smoke and no coolant is sprayed, some one suggested that i might have a ...

can someone tell me what are the signs of a blown headgasket, I read about white smoke but where should it be comming from if the HG is bad etc.

i read in hear that the white smoke comes from the exaust when the headgasket is blown but mine comes from the hood scoop and the wheel wells.

could it possibly be something else

Just got a 94 legacy with an ej2.2t engine, i have gotten it on the road yet but if i leave it running for a while i see white smoke and the engine overheats. Please if anyone knows what might be wrong let me know.
