pretty sure you have to replace the head bolts. They stretch when you torque them so they can only be torqued once. That's my understanding at least/

14mm head studs

Are the 14mm ARP head studs a custom length for the subarus or are they an off the shelf set that fits another make of motor? If they fit something else, it would make it easier to shop around. If anyone knows I'd appreciate the info.

I've heard they can damage your oil pump. I'm not sure how though? I'll stick with stock and just lighten my internals with forged pistons and rods. Lightened flywheel will make a big difference too.

Use the hole on the top of the block. It's further toward the rear of the engine bay in line with the stock sending unit. Like someone said before, you'll need an allen key and vice grips. Just be sure to be carefull when threading it in. There is a metal ring you need to remove, I think. I did the ...

I read the thread you're talking about but no one on there had a 12mm pump. I only paid 150 for the pump shipped which isn't much more than a ej22t pump. I'm doing all the work myself and am calling it a budget build. I don't think I'll ever see 500whp but I would like to see 400.

should I shim my JDM 12mm oil pump?

I'm building a 2.35L stroker out of an ej22t and picked up a 12mm oil pump. I am planning to stick another shim in it to up the preasure. Has anyone done this and if so, what pressures are you running?

Thanks for the breakdown. I was just wondering if someone already had these numbers, as this seems to be a popular setup. If not, once I get some head gaskets, I'll crunch the numbers.

wiseco k602m975 pistons

I'm planning on using these pistons in my ej22t block with phase 1, 2.5L crank and pauter rods. I will be using wrx heads. I want to know who is using this setup and if it works! Also what head gaskets should I use and what compression ratio will different gaskets yield?
