Finishing a rally feels like getting away with something you shouldn't have.

Awesome!
Let me know if you're ever planning on running Olympus again. I'd happily crew for you.

Great to see some progress on this awesome project! I was sure it was dead and gone, like too many projects tragically end up.

Re: Tyler's Legacy SS.... under an impreza shell

That looks really good, however... I would be concerned about using the radiator lower support and the crash bar. Its likely much stronger than the stock piece, but I've seen too many of them take out the radiator after bottoming the front or an aggressive water crossing. Additional skid plate suppo...

Nice! Cummins or Volvo power?
Steel drums last longer and, more importantly, weigh a bunch less than cast drums.
You've got me thinking more seriously about moving up there.

Working 10 days a year gives you plenty of time to do the well-paying 'side' jobs that you want to do.

Re: Mike's 92 SS

After the rebuild, the passenger side head was making a ridiculous racket. To the point where we thought there might be serious bottom end problems! I took out the HLA's and bled them. One was stuck all the way out, and another all the way in. As soon as it warmed up, all valvetrain noise was gone,...

325i wagon?
Because RWD>FWD (&AWD?) and a RWD I6 manual is near perfection. Even if it is German.

PacificNW PDS?

Borne of my apparent inability to escape the greater Olympia area, I wonder if anyone might be interested in a Parts Delivery Service thread. I know a good many of us live and (some of us) travel from Bellingham to Portland, everywhere in between, and beyond. Seeing as how many of us also like to bu...

If the pedal won't return to the top of it's travel, even when pulled on, something must be stopping it. I would check linkages, pivots, ...

Thanks for the replies, gents.
I'd like to use Extra-S, but don't really want to pay shipping from the Amazon, and my local dealer (parts dept.(Hanson Subaru/KIA)) doesn't even know what it is. My local Cut Rate auto parts has the Amsoil sever gear. Anyone have any experience with it?
