Invisible, that's one REALLY nice looking BF - yours?
Mine indeed :)

I don't like the pre-facelift car at all much.

Rear strut brace (wagons)

Hi

Does anyone know if a BG5 wagon rear strut brace will fit a BF5 wagon?

Cheers

Version II should have single bolt coils as well as only having the ribbs on the cam covers along the top (not the bottom like the BC/BF EJ20G).

The other day I went to visit a guy and he had done his dash (the bits that a white on the pic above) with foliatec carbon fibre. I must say it didn't look too bad, I don't know if it would start peeling off after a few hot days in the sun though.

I think a lot of you are confused.

The heat exchanger is the bit that sits where a TMIC would sit.

The radiator is what does the cooling, which is mounted in the front of the car.

Factory JDM Legacy Water-Air I/C info

I've have taken a few mesurements and found out some interesting info about the factory water-air intercooling system. The water pump that is used is an impeller-type which I have tested to flow roughly 15L/min, the factory ecu runs it at two speeds using a temperature sensor. The radiator core size...

My pipe has a inlet for the factory breather and the vacuum line which runs to the boost solenoid.

No idea on price, I'll work it out this week, cost of materials + labour and shipping.

I can get that part for you if you want.

You probably couldn't fit the airbox as your car is the later model Legacy which got the twin turbo engine in Japan.

So you need two parts then, the turbo elbow-maf part I can do, the maf-k&n is custom as I have a 4" girth pod filter which is about 250mm large.

Nice man.

I think most ppl that rave on about that rubbish have probably not done it.

My filter I would say is "invisible" :D Hidden in the guard nicely and all my piping is black under the engine bay so I don't get hassled by the police.

I gave up looking for pods, and now I just use a Splitfire gauge in the cup which is screwed into the apillar, does the job, looks neat.

Sorry guys, everything is custom made. The only factory parts is the pipe coming off the turbo and the MAF. With my previous cold air box setup (pictured above), it went pretty well. But after seeing the APS setup and setting my car up like that, she has that much more low-mid range power its not fu...

I only have this pic when I had the filter in a cold air box.

Image

All I did was make a pipe going from the MAF into the guard which my filter hose clamps to, like the APS unit.

If you lot read my post I said it was for the later model WRX. Our cars have the 90deg elbow like the early WRX's (JDM ones). This elbow isn't as restrictive as you may think it is. I ended up mounting my K&N pod into the guard and it has made a huge difference. On another note, does anyone know...

Pod filter in the guard

Should I mount my pod filter in the guard where the factory resonant box is? It must flow better than an exposed pod under the bonnet or a big duct to the factory air box.

Like what APS do with the later WRX's

Anyone tried this? got pics?

Stereo setup

I have a BF5. I know that the front/rear speakers are 6.5" (well thats what everyone says). I have some MB Quart 215.03 CX (5.25" splits), and an Alpine V12 MRV-F400S amp from my old car. Should I fit my MB Quart's in the front or Should I just get some new front splits. They are really go...
