Yeah it does go into reverse. Makes an ever worse whine though

Yeah, the previous owner said that it has the stock (from a 92 mt Legacy) 4.10 front diff and a rear diff from a late 90s Impreza with 4.10 gears also.

I just picked up a 93 Legacy turbo with a 5mt swap and it makes a whining noise and will not go into 5th gear.
