Re: Zach's Legacy FrankenSTIn TW
Ok, so I went and looked at the motor today and I may just do this whole thing myself. The shop is worried that there is something on the inside of my block that might be causing the car to run hot and eat HG's. Im currently weighing the options as I could throw another motor in it, fix what I have,...

Re: Zach's Legacy FrankenSTIn TW
Ok,
The WRX internals are rated to 18lbs of boost correct?
If I pick these up, that seems excessive considering I already warp transmissions with my tune.
Hoff can you post which ones I specifically need?
I need to email Brydon also,

Re: Zach's Legacy FrankenSTIn TW
Josh always knows the magic!
I am using what I imagine are the normal head studs.
I need to know what the most solid head gasket to get is, and while I am in there internals that will let me safely turn up the boost to eighteen .
Any ideas?

I need to check again but it should be clean, and I noticed that cylinders one and two get hot first, and seemingly a lot hotter also.
Re: Cheap FCD
Omg from the dead!
Your adding pressure, and presumably more fuel in your motor when taking this route so it really depends on how you drive.

Hey Josh! So i haven't checked it post - spirited driving but i flushed it out using the gardening hose technique . Was very clean after using more flush and letting it run for 15 min and pressuring it out with the hose. So I Think I'm all good, verify in the manana . Either way not a cool feeling t...

Its a Koyo aluminium rad, so I don't think there was gunk on the new radiator. Maybe still in the heater core or hoses or something... Either way.im going to cycle water through it today a million times to try and clear it up . hopefully that helps

Coolant weirdness, thoughts needed :S
Ok, so i want to throw this out to the community. I literally just changed my head gaskets about 4 months ago, and now in my metal overflow tank I've got some weird brown/gray goop... which leads me to wonder what is wrong with my current coolant setup in that i could have possibly blown another hea...
