It seems wat i'm asking for is a lot because there's just a plethora of information and it's taken me a long time to comprehend wat i'm reading. I guess this was a huge project and i just got so excited that I didn't quite think it through. So for now i'll just get some AGX struts and some springs. ...

Sorry i haven't responded up until now but I've been swamped with final projects and final exams -_- :( I did look on NASIOC for struts and springs but I haven't been able to focus my attention on the suspension. I'll look at it more closely and have a more informed decision after finals are over. T...

Ok i'm having difficulty finding 04-07 STi struts and springs. I'm looking in the kyb online catalog, google and ebay and not getting any results. So I've looked and i've found AGX adjustable struts for 02-03 impreza's. Coupled with H&R springs it should look like this http://bbs.legacycentral.o...

My Suspension Overhaul

Hey all! I've been planning to do a suspension overhaul for quite some time now. I've got even more reason to get this done soon. My dad bought my '91 N/A AWD Legacy L for me at 168,000 miles and it's got about 208,000 miles now. That's almost 50,000 miles i've put onto it and it should be replaced ...

So Adam West, you're saying that the HR sports springs with part # 29868 will lower the car 1.25" front and 1" rear? Is your car setup with kyb gr-2's or something else? Also your car looks very clean and has the aggressive stance that i've been looking for. More importantly, how does your...

Well it turns out that the clunking noise was the hub bearing wearing out. Me and my dad tried to replace it but the bearing housing got stuck in the spindle. We half assed it hoping that it would be better, but it turns out it made it worse. so the car sat in the shop for a couple days. :( We got a...

I don't know for sure guys. I just remember reading (or hearing, i dunno) that Subaru made the early control arms really strong and that they would mangle the unitbody before the arms broke. Since those early ones that Carlos just put on a pretty heavy, they may be that strong. I suppsoe the only w...

Point taken but nobody's said anything about iridium vs platinum. As far as i can tell from google, iridium and platinum are similar. They both are corrosion resistant and have higher service intervals. Denso claims that iridium is better than platinum for it's tolerance to heat claiming that their ...

I'm getting ready to do a tune up on my 91' N/A legacy. It's been about 3 years since i've last changed the plugs and wires. I think i have NGK regular or iridium. Wat's the difference between NGK iridium/platinum vs laser/non laser welded plugs? Since i've got a N/A engine would it make a noticeabl...

Ok....from all these comments the DBA rotors are back to the drawing board. But i will keep with the 4-pot / 2-pot setup. Specifically all wheels get 06 WRX brake calipers just to keep things less complicated. I know i need some brackets and found some kartboy brackets but r they supposed to be $195...

Sorry Ciper for not mentioning wat pads i would be using. I'm thinking about EBC's redstuff pads. Previously they were known to be noisy and inefficient until they were warmed up. But now i hear that they aren't noisy when they warm up and cool temperatures don't affect their performance too much. T...

I'm referring to the canister purge lines, maybe vacuum lines? Well i looked at it a little closer saterday while i was at the shop. yeah it's no real problem just a bit time consuming. You may want to try replacing the valve covers when you drain the oil otherwise you may end up with a huge oil stain in your garage. Main thing you need to remember is to clear gasket groves with brake parts cleaner and use a clean rag to clean th...

You can also use an M12x1.25 die to cut new threads on the now-shorter shift rod, and then still use your stock knob.
I would but my friend got me a nice billet aluminum shift knob :) I personally think that the aluminum shift knob is better than the stock but that's just my opinion
