Does this hurt the transmission?
When driving an automatic transmission, does it hurt the transmission to put it in neutral while the car is still rolling, in drive?
Also, does it hurt the transmission, if your car is rolling forward in neutral, and you put it in drive without letting the car come to a halt first?
thanks

1) Lately, I've been having trouble getting my car to shift out of park. The button on the shifter, freezes up or something and the only way to shift out of park is through pressing the shift release button located on the bottom of the shifter. This happens sometimes, but I'd like to see what you gu...

I've always used the factory recommended tire size which is 185/70/hr14. however, when i needed new tires, i tried out a set of 195/65/14's and noticed that my car wasn't as response as it was before in terms of acceleration. Can anyone explain this? It felt a little more responsive in terms of hand...

I've read somewhere that the reason the transmission locks up when it warms up is for the simple reason that when you release the throttle, the rpm's stay at where they were and gradually come down. This allows for instant power in case if the need be arises. When the transmission isn't locked up th...

the tires are all the same width. the factory tire size, which I follow is 185/70/HR14. The factory recommendation is 30psi front and 29psi rear. I usually put in 33 front and 32 rear. I'm still wondering why they recommend the tires to be inflated this way. Also, what tire pressures do you guys hav...

my car requires 30 psi up front and 29psi in the rear. why does subaru recommend more tire pressure in the front when most cars require the same pressure for both front and rears?
