Drive to St Cloud and back
Or remove the fuel supply line up under the hood and put on a longer hose that you can run into gas cans or another car. Then use a 12v power supply to run the fuel pump.

Your friend is right, the 4eat in my 97 leg started binding after only 260k miles. But then it was still the original ATF and I did AX the car for a couple of years, and redline shifts happened on a daily basis... Maybe he's not so right, at least in my case... Behla's right though, in about half of...

I added heated leather to my 97. If you grabbed the harness for the heater switches, it's easy. Leave the harness from the switches to the seats intact. I forget the colors, but each switch has a grd, +12v (switched), and two wires for the lights. Run a fused +12v from the cig lighter to supply powe...

I ended up running a new wire to pin 81 on the ECU and grounding it. Seems to have fixed the CEL.

Has anyone done the swap on a newer Legacy. I finished the swap on my 97 today, it runs great, but seems to use a lot of gas so far. Mileage has dropped to about 15mpg. For wiring all I've done is to splice the wires for the starter, and wire in the reverse light switch. According to the FSM's for 9...

Use the Gen 1.

You'll need to swap flanges on the rear diff, count the threads on the retainer nut so you can put the flange back on to the same spot.

Anyone interested in a RHD wagon in PA?

The other day while driving I saw a Gen 1 Legacy wagon sitting for sale, I don't really have the money for any projects right now so I mostly ignored it... Today I noticed that the sign stated it to be a RHD. Is anyone interested? If so I'll get a phone number for you. The car is in Cressona, PA 179...

It's 3/8" ATF hose.

Any autopart store should sell it by the foot.

One of the seals between the front diff, oil pump and trans is blown.

To fix it, you need to drop the trans, and remove the rear tail and front diff.

If you've been itching for a MT, now's the time.

A Soob nut I know that was a salesman for a dealer in the 90's told me that there were Gen 1 "GT's". They were trim only upgrades as they had the basic 2.2 engine.

He recently had a '94 in his shop that he was telling me about. We didn't talk about the year range??

But if it's not pressed in, you'll have a hell of a time keeping it from spinning when you tighten the nut.

But if you get a couple of weld spots to hold the bolt, you'll be golden.

There are two types of switches, one that just kills battery and one that disconnects the Alt also, you need the second type.
http://www.saferacer.com/ and http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/ have them for about $30
