HEEELLLLPPP cant remove torque converter

Hello all, i am currently doing my auto to manual swap, and i cant, for the life of me, get the darn stupid bolts off of the flexplate/torque converter. this is slowing my whole swap.

i currently have the tranny out but uuuurrrrrgggg.

anyone have suggesttions on how to get it off.


also, where is the ecu located??

What are you doing to try?

There should be a straight shot at them from the access hole.

please tell me where this access hole is

i have looked around and the only place i can see is on the bottom of the engine but that is impossible to get a socket or wrench in

Once you gain access to the hole, slowly turn the crankshaft and look for bolt heads. Take out every one you see in that hole. Turn the crank again after each bolt is removed. There are 4 or 6 bolt to take out. Seeing as you have the transmission off, the torque convertor will probably drop when you take out the last one.

No, It's just a rubber plug.

+1 remove the rubber plug behind the intake manifold, then remove the 4 bolts that hold the T/C to the flexplate & everything should come apart.
