1/24 rally models
Unfortunately, I need to liquidate my small collection of rally car related model kits. I have them up on eBay here: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwrx22bp1rb5QQhtZ-1 Of particular interest to Legacy people are the Aoshima BG5 Legacy GT Touring Wagon (with LHD dashboard), Hasegawa 1992 Legacy RS s...

WTB: '96-'99 Legacy wagon rear cargo cover, dog guard
I have a '98 Outback and am just checking to see if anyone has a stock Legacy retractable rear cargo area cover they want to get rid of. I actually have an old one from my '93 Touring Wagon but it doesn't fit. If anyone wants to trade or buy it, let know know – it's in *perfect* condition. I need th...

Try Suby Specialties in Monrovia, which is right next to Pasadena. Steve & Don are super cool and are extremely knowledgable in the older Subarus. http://www.subyspecialties.com/ (626) 358-4235

1989 Volvo 740 wagon, LT1 V8, 6-speed
I know it's not a Legacy but it is the car which replaced my much missed '93 Touring Wagon – it's even more of a sleeper wagon and I figure all of us here like interesting cars like this. The Mudfest that was Ramada Express 2004!
http://www.williwood.com/images/mosports/laughlin2004/8.jpg My friend and I found ourselves in lovely Laughlin, wanting to do some real spectating rather than the Super Special that would happen the next day in front of the hotel. So off we went towards the lovely town of Peach Springs where we ent...

Anybody going to ALMS at Laguna Seca next weekend?
It's going to be a good race; and in the darkness!!! The closest thing to the real LeMans as I'll be able to afford in the near future. I will be there for the weekend so if any Legacy people are going we should meet up, even though I'll probably drive my RS to fully take advantage of the PCH route ...

THAWA: yup, you called it 1st! I still wish they could have figured out exactly what the problem with the valve body mod was though. For whatever reason it didn't want to play with the shift kit. Tristan: I don't know exaclty which shift kit the tranny shop used, but it was probably something like t...

Just an update: I finally got the problem sorted out. Apparently the valve body adjustments the trans shop made, in addition to the shift kit, were a little too much and caused the engine braking to disappear for some reason. So they got another stock valve body and just used the shift kit and it wo...

I checked all the connections and they seem fine. I'm going to ask about the TC lock-up and valve body. I might have them revert the valve body to stock settings to see if that's the cause. But that's a last resort since i REALLY like the shift quality right now! I've been paying very close attn. an...

ECU getting confused by 4EAT upgraded TC?
I just got my '93 Legacy Touring wagon back from the transmission shop and noticed an odd change. Here's the rundown of the work done: • Rebuilt torque converter with approx. 400-500rpm higher stall speed • Rebuilt 4EAT with slightly modified valve body for firmer shifts throughout • Transmission co...

Well, it's almost a year later and I think I'm finally ready to rebuild my 4EAT. I need sporty daily driveability that will be able to handle a little extra power. I've pretty much decided to go with a complete rebuild with upgraded components (shift improver) like the Level10 or TransGo kits, but I...
