I tossed the outback suspension and installed a set of 94 TW struts/springs. It handles much better now!

Going to get new shoes for the wagon tomorrow too.

Still need to install white door handles and determine what clutch/flywheel I will use for replacement.

Place an order, it taks a day or two to ship out


so with stock suspension, it does not wear anymore than normal on tires, axles, sways, etc?

how much "lift" does the kit add with stock suspension? what are the largest tires one can fit with stock 15" wheels?

Steering shaft should be uneffected if you only swapped the struts and not the subframe blocks, I dont think swapping sways is necessary either.

what year wrx did the headunit come out of?

yes, with this set up the springs are slightly short for the struts. I used some 05 wrx struts with some 05 sti springs and everything works fine. The spring shortness is so minimal, I didn't notice a difference but the handling difference is amazing compared to our oem "wore-out" suspension.

Any chance you could take a picture or describe exactly what is too big. The trailing arm is the front brace that goes to the chassis and really shouldn't have any impact with the sway bar end links. Are you referring to the lateral links?

question on using the outback sway bars...my endlinks on the rear sway bars are too big to fit into the 91 legacy mount on the trailing arm. how do i fix this? do i need the outback trailing arm mount?

I vote 07-09 Legacy Spec B...those things are very nice and are basically an STi in a legacy body. 07+ have the 6MT just like what the STi's have.

I don't really like any of the options you listed either just like some of the others...they are either played out like honda civics or just way over ...
