I got it from legacymax, but I don't think that the tranns is bad. I think it maybe something else thats causing this (just don't know what). I'm debating taking it to subaru and having them look at it, but I fear they are going to say that the duty c solenoid is bad (hell maybe it is) and charge me...

OK i'm a little pissed.

the new tranny seemed to be fine, but now it is torque binding again and flashing a duty c code at me.

I can't win with this thing lately.

:(

any thoughts?

Not sure if they are exactly the same, but I have a 92na rackon my 92 turbo (works great). I do know the lines from the pump to the rack are a little different, but they will fit (I also have those from a 94 na on my car).

the rear end say 3.9 on it so I assume thats whats inside.

It may be a case of fluid level. Checked it at lunch and it was low. I'll keep checking and adjusting the fluid and see if that helps.

It could be you lifters, they are filled with oil.
Sometimes they will not fill right away on start up and make a ticking noise. especially if the car has been sitting a while.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the response. I finally got it to start yesterday. I switched out the inhibitor switch and played with the shifter in the car while turning the key and it fired right up and haven't had a problem starting since. :-D It seems to be dragging a little like the brakes are on slighty. Is that ...

So I send all day putting everything back on the car, fill with fluids, and start it. But no, it doesn't start  I checked all the electrical connections and the starter is getting 12v but won't activate (starter was working fine when removed). so I start thinking its the inhibitor switch on th...

Update: I bought a turbo trans from legacymax (thanks, he even drove it 100miles to me). Pulled to broken one out and noticed the diff. drain plugs were in a slightly different location, so on closer inspection the numbers on the top of the bellhousing were different (getting a little worried at thi...

I need a coolant tank for my legacy turbo and instead of buying a new plastic one, I want a steel one from a wrx.

Let me know if you have one and what price your looking for. need asap

The reason I gave no price is I'm not sure what the going rate for something like this is. I'm located in cheyenne, wyoming which is about an hour and a half north of denver, colorado. what would you like pics of? I will take some pics today and post this afternoon. I will be happy to get pics and i...

just found the pages on the fsm for changing the duty c solenoid.

I put them on rapidshare:

feel free to copy this to another server as this link will only be good for a period of time.

it started after the car had sat for about a month (broke my ankle) and before i changed the axles.

i'm getting a tcu code for duty c soleniod.

also there is a new loud speed sensetive buzzing now but i believe it has something to do with the fact i broke the speedo cable today.
