Re: CDT Speaker Upgrade

Grab the speaker holders from a 95-99 Legacy front doors. They are plastic and the speaker screws into them. They mount into the 90-94 doors just like the original metal one-piece design and have the same angled up fit as the OEMs.

No, not unless you swapped the fender, hood, etc. too. Possible? Yes. Practical? No.

Re: Looking for a driver's side rear quarter panel window tr

I think it's almost impossible to remove these with out destroying or at least breaking some or most of the clips. From what I've seen the "secret" of auto glass guys is window glue. They just lay a bead down and push the trim into it, let it set up and you're good to go again. Not the mos...

Re: outback suspension

Front struts would conceivable work(with correct tops hat swap and maybe even springs). Rear is a entirely different animal and scrap metal as far as these cars are concerned.

Re: head unit problem after reconnecting battery...

You have a Pioneer issue, not a Suby issue, but the Aux input on the pioneer is OFF by default. With the car power ON and the Pioneer power OFF, push and hold the function button or audio button if the function does not work. This should pull up the menu where you can turn the AUX input on or off.

Re: Stereo Install 09.28.11

It's not that the electrical system rests at ground it's that it floats to ground. Think of all the systems on the ignition circuit that can provide a conduit to ground(when off). You are correct that if you could isolated the circuit with diodes no ground signal would be present at the switch when ...

Re: How did you order a RHD Legacy Postal when it was new?

I have seen a few in the JY's and always check them out to see how everything is laid out. It's amazing how many parts are different and I can't imagine trying to find/get parts. I also wonder if there are parts that someone out there might need. (different HVAC system, wire harness etc.) I would th...

Re: Car Security

You can wire a standard Bosch relay however you want. So take terminal 30(input). It is connected to 87a by default with nothing else hooked up. Then when power is applied via terminals 86 and 85 it disconnects 30 from 87a and connects it to 87. (in the case of a interrupt nothing would actually be ...

Re: Stereo Install 09.28.11

For the LED you don't need a relay, you wire one side to bat+ and one side to ign+. When you turn the ignition off the positive output will float to ground and complete the circuit giving a negative side. Obviously you need a LED that blinks and is designed for 12V or you need to add the correct res...

I do have them all. What's a fair price? The lights are in really good shape and very clear. I can send you some pics if you want. What's your email?

I could probably meet you in Beaverton or even Hillsboro. What's better, going Hwy. 30 or via Vernowhere?

Re: WTB: 90 legacy HVAC controls and plug

Has yours gone bad or is it destroyed? I, as many have fought with the control unit and the inability to change where the air "comes out" when pushing the buttons. I discovered two problems with mine, first the solder joints had gone bad (cold solder joints) at the circuit board. No proble...
