Re: Fuse Box Cover in Japanese - '92 Wagon
How wonderful - thank you, Josh. I will certainly share your information and thoughts with the fellow who needs it. He's in Kenya so the time zones don't quite match up :) This is such a great site, too, but I find the dark background difficult on the eyes. :) Okay, I'm off to share your post. ~ Lib...

Fuse Box Cover in Japanese - '92 Wagon
Good day. I'm trying to help a friend with an information search. He has a 1992 Legacy Wagon. The problem is that his fuse box cover is totally in Japanese. We're needing the fuse box cover from inside the car, by the driver's left leg. Maybe he needs the main one too, I'm not sure. I sent him a pho...

Re: New brakes, loud squealing noise when backing up
I thought that maybe it was just that I had very smart brakes. Easiest "fix" is to park on the level road..

Re: New brakes, loud squealing noise when backing up
It's still weird to me how the brakes make that noise only when I back up.. Why wouldn't it do the same thing when I brake at a stop sign? If it's debris or something, how does it know what direction I'm going? lol
Yes, these are the strange things I ponder, Josh.

Re: New brakes, loud squealing noise when backing up
Hi Josh, I don't know if it was done that way but I'm sure we'll double-check on it now (well, tomorrow). Being only half-awake when I read your comments, I thought you'd written "I like this stuff by ccr" and I was anticipating a link to YouTube.. lol. The red stuff is cool (wish I had so...

New brakes, loud squealing noise when backing up
Just last week I had a seized caliper issue taken care of on my rear brake. The brakes are new - only a month old. Yesterday and today, when backing out of the driveway, there was a rather loud squealing sound from the rear brake area (no cats were injured - I checked). The sound does not reappear d...

Re: New member, transplanted from another forum
Thank you, Josh I just got back from making my first-ever trip to an auto wrecker. Went with a friend so I could see how it all works etc. Met the owner and then checked out the four Subarus that they had in the lot. The condition of many vehicles sure hinted at some awful accidents and encounters w...

Re: New member, transplanted from another forum
Thank you, TurnNBurn - I appreciate the welcome! It's going to take some searching to figure out the proper categories to post questions but I'm sure that I won't be the first one to struggle with that issue. What did I do to my Subie today, asks one thread? Well, I found my car's colour listed on t...

New member, transplanted from another forum
Howdy, fellow Subaru owners. I own a 1991 Legacy LS. Have only had it about 15 months now. A woman gifted it to me, on Freecycle, when my beast of a Cavalier blew up in the driveway. A few weeks ago I Google searched for Subaru forums and mistakenly chose one of the first ones that showed up... Oops...
