I see your point. But im still glad that I did what I did for the reason of cleaning the magnet. The magnet now is more efficient in operation. The very outer part of the fine shavings on the magnet could dislodge and go through system get caught and then perhaps dislodge again causing a vicious cyc...

Just changed my tranny fluid and filter
I figured I would change my filter in my 91 legacy. So I went to advanced auto parts to get filter. Well I had to buy two kits because I didn't know what size my pickup was, theres two types. Anyhow the filter I took out of my car was dfferent than the two kits I bought. One was with a pickup one in...

I just changed my purge solenoid
I had a trouble code 35. Its the purge solenoid. I thought that that might be the problem with my car idleing up and down for a few seconds after I start it. But it wasn't. My car still does this. The old solenoid was bad, no resistance and it didn't open and close with battery jumper wires. I calle...

I got the subaru ones
I went to the dealer and got wires for my legacy for 32 dollars and change out the door. They fit perfect and they are all straight coming of the coils.

Yes I had napa seals and...
The inner and outer seals were a smaller diameter(inside) than stock factory. I compared those with the new factory ones I bought. I think they may have worked but I think they might also run a little hot and wear out. Also on the outer seal I would have had to peen the steering nuckle and use a loc...

front wheel bearing seals are a dealer item only.
I could get the bearing but the seals were wrong at every auto parts store out there. I just wanted to fill you guys in on this. I went to the dealer and convinced the man to break open one of his kits to sell me the seals outa it. Almost 40 bucks for two seals. He wanted to sell me the kit for 108 ...

Does anybody else have trouble findin spark wires for 91 leg
I went to every part store around and two of the wires bend at a 90 degree angle. My originals are all four strait off the coil. I dont think bending them to make em fit is a good idea. I guess im gonna have to get robbed by the dealer. Thanks, Joe

cold engine idles up and down by itself
Can anybody tell me where to start on alleviating this problem? I think the IACV is the problem. I got the top solenoid piece that goes on the IACV at a junkyard. I didn't mess with it yet. Also is this part adjustable? It looks like it is with the long screw slots. What does this adjustment do if i...

Getting trouble codes on 91 legacy
My book says to disconnect the one wire plug harness under the lower dash panel. Turn on key and wait for trouble codes to flash. If the connector is not disconnected the CEL will flicker. Well I cant get any codes and if I connect the the one wire harness, I dont get a flickring CEL. Is there somet...
