No CEL until I turn the key off
Thats right, turn the key on and all the dashboard lights come on like they are supposed to except for the CEL, start the car and the cel stays off. Turn the car off and it comes on for a few seconds and then goes back off. HELPPPPPPP

ej22 to ej25d swap...not as easy as it looks
It all started about a year ago when I decided it was time to do a major upgrade to the ej22e in my 1991 Legacy wagon. Much work had been done to brakes, suspension, interior and such and the engine is the last major upgrade step before visiting the bodyshop. I did a fair amount of online research a...

A.c. Compressor doesn't fit
Looking to find a later model a.c. Compressor that will fit my 98 ej25d and bolt up to the existing hoses on the 91 legacy l that the engine is in. The 91 compressor and mounting bracket don't work on the ej25d, won't physically fit due to interference with the intake manifold.....help please!

Which IACV? HELP
Engine is a 98 25d from an automatic car, running I hope soon in a 91 legacy l on obd1 electronics. I have both the correct IACV for the engine and one that matches the electronics in the car...which way do I go? Please help.

Re: No more 2.2L (updated: Now image intensive)
Ok, I am really confused about the IACV information. I just dropped a 25D into my 91 wagon that came from an automatic 98 outback legacy so which IACV do I use? The one from the 2.2 is available and since I am using a 2.2 ecu that seems to be the most sensible approach. But I already have the new IA...

EJ25D in 91 legacy l wagon...LOTS of gotchas....
Yeah, about that...if you think its gonna be easy, fugedaboudit. Still not finished with the swap and have been at it a solid week. Too many things dont fit like you would expect them to. The engine clears the frame rails at the timing covers by about an inch so not a lot of extra room. The a/c comp...

EJ25D Crank pulley...anything magic about it?
Ok the back story is I am FINALLY getting my new engine tomorrow!!! Builder lost the crank pulley so I will have to provide one. Is it truly a harmonic balancer like some of the chevy engines use or is it just a pulley. Best source for aftermarket lightweight pulley? Many thanks in advance for help ...

Re: K sport coilovers....anybody use them and how do they li
Thanks for that information Peter, i actually originally went to Eibach's website which referred me to dealers for their products in my area, I sent emails requesting information that were never answered. Hence the purchase of the generic stops I got off of ebay. I wanted the Eibach brand because of...

What they make josh is a generic part that just works. I cut mine down to about 3/4 height and find they really help. When I get a chance I will try to find the eBay link where I got them.

Re: K sport coilovers....anybody use them and how do they li
Another update....I ordered some ebay specials bump stops and cut them down a bit and installed them in place of the dumbass bumpstops included with the ksports. The car is totally transformed. I can go battin' ass down a backroad now without losing fillings or teeth and maintain something approachi...

Re: K sport coilovers....anybody use them and how do they li
Well, as it turns out I ended up installing them, and while this has been a few months ago and probably more than 10k miles, the jury is still out and I dont know if it was an overall improvement. What it has been is a learning experience for sure. On the plus side they lowered the car so it looks b...

Suspension...understanding how it all works together
Ok, I'm going out on a limb here and offering my observations about suspension as a total system and how each piece of that total system contributes to the overall picture. These observations are offered for consideration from my fairly broad experience of screwing around with suspension hardware ov...

Goode, VA - Whiteline 22mm adjustable front bar
Brand new other than being stored in the box it came in when it was shipped to me in central VA. Add endlinks and you have as much front bar as you could possibly need for a street car. Whiteline part number BSF19XZ. This fits the 90-91 wagon and probably a lot of other ones too. The reason I am sel...

Re: Larger Wheel and Tire Fitment thread
Ok lets bump this old thread and keep it alive...recently put new wheels on my moms 2008 legacy sedan and that left me with the factory 17" legacy wheels collecting dust. I also had a set of 215/45-17s laying around so I married em up and put them on the 91 wagon. With -.6 camber in the front, ...

Re: Revlimiter custom gauges
I have one more question after pondering those gauges...first of all the gauge panel shown doesnt match the physical configuration of the gauges in my legacy l instrument cluster. Its a much better layout than what I have. Is this a bolt in swap that can be done fairly easily? and if so where do I g...

Re: Will WRX seats bolt directly into first gen legacy?
Thanks for that guys, however the mod to the rear bracket next to transmission tunnel is a serious mod....gonna have to have something welded on there to bolt that corner down or drill a new hole in the floorpan. That hole doesnt even come close to being useable as is. Oh well, that dreaded word com...

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I tried the bending the triangle piece inward about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch and the sucker is as tight as a new one now. I love cheap easy fixes like that.
