New Here Wnated to Say Hi. 94ss

Post by Florin1 »

Hello. Wanted to say hi, post some pictures and a poll. Some might know me already from my "rattle" post. Here is the car. 1994 SS with a few mods. Meghan exhaust from turbo back, turbosmart boost controller at 10psi, Rays wheels. I'm in Lynnwood wa, and i'm always looking for upgrades. Need more power. So let me know what you have.

Welcome aboard and Beautiful car!

This is a good place to be for any Legacy owner. Doubly so for those of us lucky enough to own an SS. Lots of good information and well informed people here!

Glad to have you and hope you find the place as helpful as I have

Keep an eye on the parts shed for an 06/07 TMIC, and start reading on how to modify it to fit our cars... Intercooler is definately a big step in turning up the boost and therefor more power :D

also invest in the chip for the ecu and some larger injectors if you want to turn up the boost and do it properly while still getting awesome fuel economy.

Awesome fuel economy?? I'm getting 18mpg at the moment and i dont think its awesome. haha. Will my stock fuel pump be able to keep up with larger injectors?

Yup it should be fine the 440cc injectors are drop in's basically just setup your stage 2 chip. The chip works well, just need to make sure you have no boost or vacuum leaks, and your exhaust is all together with no leaks. You should look forward to 20-24mpg.

Very clean car! I'm lovin' the gold wheels on there. I didn't think I would with a silver car, but they fit very well since the design is very simple.

As everyone else has already said, welcome to the board and be honored to be some of the few people left still driving and enjoying the now rather rare Legacy SS. These cars have SOOOO much potential, but you just have to make sure you use the correct formula of parts or else you'll be looking into a motor rebuild.

thanks dropdfocus! :D Hey ericem, i came accross some 550 sti injectors, you think thats overkill or will my chip/ecu regulate them. I'm gonna be getting that revtronix chip once they come out with that user self tune deal. Whenever that comes out.

If you went with stage 2 they can tune for 550cc injectors. Definitely not overkill. I am waiting for it to, for now stg 2 is doing well :D Just you need 92-94 N/A rails. I also heard they can work in turbo rails but IDK doesn't look like it.

I don't believe that they work with much ease on the turbo rails. That' why everyone immediately points to the N/A rails since they drop right in and are pretty abundant to find.

If you are going with the Revtronix chip (as am I), then the 550cc will be perfectly fine. If for some reason you ever get to the point in which they are too small, there are plenty of places that will open them up clear into 800cc range and bench test them with a flow report before sending them back to you.

thanks. You could've just asked. I've done some small things since the pictures. Cleaned and clearcoated headlights, wrx scoop (for the intercooler) i must admit, it looks cool. :) And removed the rear spoiler. Oh and three days worth of polishing and buffing.

Except you are faster... For now. lol. How are you liking your chip. I did a td04 06 IC 550 sti's and my car is running. haha. (next i think i'm gonna do a vf39 or equivalent. I emailed and called Revtronix but no answer. I'm really needing the chip. I was gonna wait for the user tuner one but it seems like progress has halted, and i cant keep driving her around and getting 190 miles to a full tank.

You get 190miles to a full tank?!! LOL

This tank I got 220km to 55L. I am fucked running chipless now since I sold my stage 2 stuff since I needed money, but I ordered the stage 1 chip. Somethings is fucked with my car. Although this tank looks better.
