That spinning thing that makes all of the cool noises. OE and Aftermarket.

Turbo Question

Post by Trailblazer »

I have a 91' legacy wagon with a 93' 2.2 N/A motor with about 140k on it, It runs great! I want a turbo though!! Should I look for a 2.2 turbo motor to swap in or should I convert the 2.2 N/A that I have in it to a turbo?? Pros/Cons etc.

Thanks

Swap it.

It's amazing how many times this has been gone over.

Simply enough, you won't get much out of the N/A block in terms of turboing. Why would you bother when a whole turbo legacy setup would be more efficient use of dollars, and be more durable as well.
