I'm thinking of installing foam rubber around the top of ic so its sealed to hood directing more air thru it and keeping from rattleing under the hood. Obviouly it would have to handle the heat. Somthing like a 3-4" wide strip like neoprene mat'l in pipe insulation.
Suggestions?

I'd also recommend you put something a little beefier between your TMIC and the engine, while you're at it. One of those laser-aimed thermometers will tell you how bad your heat soak is. My Saab 900 TMIC had ~100 degree air entering it (top fin) and ~120 degree air leaving it (bottom fin, right by engine) when sitting at idle.
