I have some engine issues
I have a 91 ej22t and the only mod I have it the mug. I had some crazy codes poppin up and decided to change out the knock sensor. That fixed it for a while but now I have more crazy codes. 24 Air control, 22 Knock sensor again, 35 Canister purge soleniod valve, 44 Duty soleniod valve(wastegate control). What is wierd is that if the car cools down and sets then after I start it and let it warm up the check light will clear then after normal driving it will reappear with same codes and stay on for the duration of driving. I am stumped and have two month to get her in tip top shape for the subaru challenge coming up. I hope someone has answers.

I'm fortunate to be able to say that I haven't had CEL's in years.
According to Josh's website (*&$^% Haynes don't say anything), the air control valve is basically your rev limiter, it works with fuel cut to prevent 'abnormal engine speed.' I have no idea where that is, but it might need to be checked out.
It sucks donkey balls when you have all these codes, because it's usually one code that's pointing to the culprit, which by upsetting the delicate balance, is pissing off the other sensors that are throwing codes.
The drawbacks of OBDI
I'd check your knock sensor connection again too. Make sure there aren't any exposed wires or anything that could be grounding out on the bellhousing or something. I don't have an SS so I have no experience with the wastegate solenoid, but check that too...
Also, just to make it more confusing, moisture under the hood can cause all the sensors to short out, and they will all throw codes. Have you been washing off your engine with a hose, or hit any deep puddles lately (it's been raining cats and dogs here in FL, so that I would understand.)
I might meet you at the Challenge, so get up and running!

where does it say the air control valve is the rev limiter?

That quote is what the "fail safe" operation is of the ECU when the idle air control valve is not working.
Basically, what it's saying is that when the IAC valve is not working, it uses other sensors to help maintain proper engine rpm/idle.
