I own a 92 Legacy turbo (2.2 Sedan - Automatic)
I am sure you heard this many times, however, I am looking at increasing the performance of my Sub!
I am told many things, however, the common being I have a great engine that can handle upto 30 lbs of boost.
However, since I have an Automatic, I am told conflicting reports on what I can an cannot do.
Asside from a complete engine swap and exhaust, what can I do to increase performance without blowing my tranny.
Thanks!

Get an external tranny cooler, and put redline D4 ATF fluid in, and you'll be good to go.

get a auto from a forester XT. it has the killer 4.44 final drive ratio. makes for some very quick acceleration. and is pretty sturdy. no need to go 5MT.UuuPIT wrote:Replacing the tranny is not an option for me. I like the auto, and do not wish to convert just for the sake of performance.
I just want to know how much I can push before the tranny croaks.
