Shaking steering
I've had a problem for a while now, but recently it's gotten worse.
When turning left at low speeds (parking lot speeds), my steering is REALLY rapidly shaky while turning. It seems to have power assist the entire time, but it just feels SOOO not right.
At higher speeds, there is nothing.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Is it the p/s pump? The rack itself?

Well, it could be one of two things. If it's car shuddering, I think it's probably torque lock. Only way to fix that: Expensive.
Other thing: Low RPM. My car, when at low RPM, will shudder in the steering when going around corners. Solution: Take corners faster
.
But seriously, I think it's a matter of the engine not turning fast enough to run power assist.

Also, it doesn't do it when turning right at the same speeds.
Worn seals perhaps?
Any ideas...?

Do you have an auto or 5spd?
Could be torque bind, could be cv joints....

put in a fuse in the FWD fuse holder, and see if your problem goes away.

Anything I should check for the tie-rod ends?
What fuse should I use?

I'm inclined to say it is the pump.
If I sit in my driveway and turn the wheel it will hold for a second...then go limp...then hold...then limp. Like it is playing catch up.
I think I might rebuild the pump with the help of Josh's thread and do a DYI thread with pics just for the sake of this thread and wanting to know.
