WRX intercooler hp gains?
Hey, I was wondering what I can expect in hp gains from a wrx intercooler on my 91' legacy turbo? I was told I could expect 20-30. All input is really appreciated!

Eh... not a lot. I wouldn't look at it as a hp adder. Think of it as something that allows you to do the mods that really add power such as turning up the boost.

I did the calculations years ago, but if memory serves-- at
around 90F ambient a good I/C will increase torque by about
15 %.

Subtle (normally aspirated engines suck):

well when i added my ic i defintily felt slower cause it dropped my manifold pressure to 6psi but with my mbc set at 11psi give or take .5psi i definitily notice a difference. and hopefully once the fcd is in 13-14 psi will be a good time

I think I am sticking with the stock turbo for now... Id love to get a dual stage MBC, but I'm pretty sure those are alot more expensive :\LaureltheQueen wrote:it depends on the turbo that you're running. You can get a good cheap mbc on ebay for next to nothing, but it all comes down to the features that you want(if you want any)

No clue on the stock turbo. The dual stage is DEFINITELY more expensive. If you don't really see a use for a high and low boost setting, then just get a regular mbc, you can get them for like $15 on ebay
