Quick question about ECU pinout

Post by 1-3-2-4 »

I hope I did not label the wrong cables but the Diagram they show for the ECU Connectors are a head on view right?

I'm hoping so as the Fuel Injector 4 wire matched in colour.

Yeah it's looking directly at the ECU and its connectors. The connector plugs are a mirror image.

Well crap I think I labled every Connector wong if you said it's the view of the Conenctor plugged in the ECU and Mirrored.

lol Yes Natoe i'm subaruimpreza_power at NASIOC.

I have about 35 or so wires labled.. Maybe this time I will label the wires while they are still pluged in the ECU.

OR.. Subaru could be smart and Put Numbers next to each Slot where the wires go. :x

These two views are oriented the same.

The pinouts are of the ECU terminal....not the connectors themself.

Hey, Josh, would you mind if I took one of your pictures of the ECU connectors and put a piece of it on my ECU pinouts page?

Cool, thanks... it should help clear up some of the confusion that occasionally arises.

rather than start a new thread or pester someone with a PM again ill ask it here.

on vrg's ecu pinout, there is a "engine speed output" (not VSS) and on the 1.8ECU it had a "tachometer output" wire, it seems that they should go together... since they are some of the only wires i havent figured out.
thanks

Huh? There's nothing in my diagram called "engine speed output." There's "engine tachometer output." It sounds right...

sorry other way around, on yours there is "engine tachometer output" and the only thing on the 1.8 ECU is "engine speed output"... it must be right.

Josh,
Do you have the rest of the ECU pin out diagrams? I've got the one that VRG so graciously posted but I would like to get the pin outs along with all the voltage/signal references.

Thanks,
noah
